Master of Audiology (Graduate Entry)
Audiology is a branch of science which deals with the study of hearing, balance and related disorders through tests and treatment through hearing aids. This graduate entry course prepares graduates to begin clinic practice as audiologist in a range of urban, rural and remote settings, to be a well-informed health professional and to acquire critical skills in appraising scientific and clinical information which will assist their further professional development.
This is a professionally oriented course which seeks to attract graduates interested in acquiring knowledge and skills in the evaluation and management of auditory disorders - hearing loss and tinnitus - and their consequences. It offers a variety of innovative learning experiences, including extensive problem-based learning, laboratory classes and clinical placements.

Skills recognition
The Master of Audiology course is recognised by the Audiological Society of Australia Inc. Graduates will be eligible to apply for membership of the Audiological Society of Australia Inc and then practice as a qualified Audiologist.
Career Outcomes
In addition to testing hearing, audiologists can also work with a wide range of clientele in rehabilitation (cochlear implants and/or hearing aids), paediatric populations and assessment of the vestibular system. Audiologists can take up employment in the public and private sector in both diagnostic and rehabilitation practice, hospitals, education settings, special school, early intervention centre universities and research facilities, hearing aid companies.
